MY STORY

About: Image

Hi, I'm Becca! When I'm not chasing after my toddler or working with parents, you can find me taking a walk in nature, listening to a good audiobook, or whipping up my favourite cookies (and if they're gone within 24 hours, I will deny I had anything to do with it).

My adventure to become a certified Paediatric Sleep Specialist happened naturally, after having my first baby. Like many new mums, I was completely overwhelmed by the amount of unsolicited advice that came flying my way. To make matters worse, when I tried to educate myself online, there was so much conflicting information.

I began reading numerous sleep books and decided that I needed to determine an approach that made sense for me and my family. From there, we soon found a routine that worked for us and started to see amazing progress with my son's sleep.

At that point, I became so passionate about my baby's brain development that I was eager to learn all the science I could. But more than anything, I knew with absolute certainty that I had found my calling - to help parents navigate this challenging chapter. Not just as a sleep consultant, but as a mentor and coach. This work has changed my life and I absolutely love having the opportunity to support and empower parents.

As a Paediatric Sleep Specialist, I can work with children of any age, from infant to three years old. No matter the age, however, my goal is always for parents to be able to look back on their baby's sleep habits and feel that the change is like "night and day."

About: About Me

ABOUT NIGHT & DAY

Night & Day is more than just sleep consulting for your little one. It’s a holistic approach that supports parents and children alike. Whether you’ve just had your first baby or your fifth, you and your family are likely going through a massive adjustment. It is a learning curve and, of course, all babies are different!

It can be surprisingly difficult for new parents to find quality resources for infant and toddler sleep. At Night & Day, we supply you with the information you need to encourage healthy sleep habits, starting as early as the newborn phase. In fact, starting early, before sleep issues develop, can be a total game changer! This does not mean “sleep training” in the traditional sense, as research doesn't support it with newborns. Instead, we help you better understand your newbie’s brain development and how it impacts their sleep. This can help you apply various techniques that encourage sleep, night or day, with or without you!

About: About Me

WHY DO I LOVE WORKING WITH NEWBORNS?

When working with newborns, the feedback I often receive from parents is that their baby didn't end up going through the dreaded four-month sleep regression nor did they have to go through more traditional "sleep training" later on. This is such a rewarding thing to hear.

With Night & Day’s approach, we help your baby develop the foundation for healthy sleep in a way that’s comfortable for you. You still get to enjoy all the wonderful things about the newborn phase – naps that include cuddles, feeding, rocking, car rides, pram walks, and baby-wearing. We focus more on understanding your baby’s development at this stage and ensuring they are getting enough sleep, which can make both your life easier and baby a whole lot happier.
